Choose a genre, find a story that interests you, and start reading. At the end of each passage, you'll decide what happens next.
Some choices lead to passages already written by other members of the community. Others are still waiting for someone to continue the story.

That's your invitation.
Write what happens next, give future readers a few choices of their own, and submit your contribution to become part of the story.
You can also create an entirely new branch whenever inspiration takes you somewhere unexpected.
